6501 Wydown (between Big Bend & Skinker) Clayton, MO
We are a community where:
Faith and reason meet, where spirits and minds are nurtured, and questions are welcomed and encouraged.
Justice and peace are practiced, as we walk in the footsteps of Jesus, and touch the hurting and the oppressed with God’s healing love, so we can bring dignity, equality and harmony to our broken world.
Every person and every gift matters, as all participate and support one another in love and friendship.
Maundy Thursday Supper and Reflection
Thursday, April 17 • 6pm in the Social Hall
Maundy is the English form of the Latin word “commandment,” focusing on Jesus’ call to the disciples to
“Love one another as I have loved you.”
Join us in the Social Hall for a special Mediterranean meal and reflection on the last supper in our own “upper room.”
Good Friday Tenebrae Service
Friday, April 18 • 7:30pm
Tenebrae is the Latin term for “Shadows.” During the service, as the Passion story unfolds, candles are extinguished and darkness increases as we reflect on Jesus’ journey to the cross.
Join us for this dramatic service of gathering darkness on the way to Easter and Resurrection.
Easter Resurrection Sunday
Sunday, April 20 • 10:30am
We encourage children to remain with their families in worship, but will offer a special Easter video for children who wish to leave the service following the conversation with the children.
An Easter Egg Hunt will take place after worship. Children, please bring a basket (we will have some extra bags for those who forget).
Everyone is invited to bring Easter goodies for Coffee Hour. If you are, please contact the church office. Thank you!
IN CASE OF ANY INCLEMENT WEATHER THAT WILL FORCE CANCELLATION OF SUNDAY WORSHIP,
