Holy Week & Easter
at First Congregational
All are welcome, and there is room at the table!
Invite a friend or neighbor…
Friday, April 3 7:30pm
This is one of the most sacred services of our liturgical year. You don’t want to miss this dramatic service of gathering darkness through which we must pass in order to celebrate Easter resurrection. This year, we will celebrate in the Scottish tradition with the help of one of our friends from the Caledonian Pipe Band. This is a service appropriate for all ages. It is a particularly moving service for youth to experience.
If you would like to be one of our readers, please email or call Heather by March 24th.
Readers must arrive in the sanctuary by 6:45 to prepare.
Worship with Brass & Strings
and Egg Hunt with E. Bunny
Sunday, April 5 10:30am
A beautiful service of celebration, celebrating in the Easter spirit with musicians and choir. Make your flower donations now if you would like your remembrance included in the bulletin.
Children are invited to bring an Easter basket (we’ll have bags available, too) and join E. Bunny on the Garth following the postlude for the annual egg hunt.
The child care room will be professionally staffed for the comfort of our little ones and the peace of mind of their caregivers. Our member and Preschool Director, Anne Chao, will be joined by a vetted and certified care provider from TLC for Kids. This care is always complimentary. If you would like to offset the cost of the TLC care provider, special donations are welcome HERE. If you would like your donation acknowledged in the bulletin with our other Easter offerings, please contact George.
Older children are encouraged to worship as part of the congregation on Easter. Those feeling too wiggly are invited to enjoy a special Easter video following the Conversation with the Children.
Easter Coffee & Community is potluck on the Garth during and after the egg hunt. If you can bring something to share, please let the church office know. Thank you!
Continued blessings to you and those you love
in this Lenten season!
See you soon in the sanctuary.
Faith and reason meet, where spirits and minds are nurtured, and questions are welcomed and encouraged.
Justice and peace are practiced, as we walk in the footsteps of Jesus, and touch the hurting and the oppressed with God’s healing love, so we can bring dignity, equality and harmony to our broken world.
Every person and every gift matters, as all participate and support one another in love and friendship.
