Welcome to First Congregational Church!

Earlier this summer, the Black Lives Matter banners were stolen from several local churches, including ours.
A conversation at Peace UCC went like this:
“We should get another banner.
We should get a bigger banner.
We should get a billboard!”
The BLM Billboard Project had begun, and it is now a reality.
You can see it for yourself when you are driving
on 44 West before the Arsenal exit.

The billboard coincides with the Michael Brown anniversary
(August 9). If you would like to help
defray the billboard costs, please contact Heather
(She is coordinating the effort
on behalf of the STL Association Council).

We are a community where:

Faith and reason meet,
where spirits and minds are nurtured,
and questions are welcomed and encouraged.

Justice and peace are practiced,
as we walk in the footsteps of Jesus,
and touch the hurting and the oppressed
with God’s healing love,
so we can bring dignity, equality and harmony
to our broken world.

Every person and every gift matters,
as all participate and support one another
in love and friendship.
