Forum on UCC Justice Ministries in the FCC Sanctuary
Sunday, October 26, 3pm

The United Church of Christ has won a great victory in its suit against the State of North Carolina resulting in the freedom of same sex couples to wed legally and the freedom to perform such weddings without fear of sanctions.  At the same time, events in Ferguson, Missouri, have shown the intransigence of racial issues here and across the country.  The UCC has long been a leader in confronting the injustice inherent in both situations.

On October 26, 2014, in the Chapel at the First Congregational Church of STL (6501 Wydown Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63105) at 3pm, Mr. Donald Clark, UCC General Counsel (bottom), and the Reverend Dr. John Dorhauer, Southwest Conference Minister (top), presented historical perspectives on these issues, with opportunity for discussion, reflection and fellowship.

This joint event was hosted by the Missouri Mid-South and Illinois South Conferences and The First Congregational Church of St. Louis.
