First Congregational Church sponsors a half day preschool for children ages 2½ - 5 yrs.  First Congregational Preschool seeks to enroll children both with in and outside of the church and focuses on creating an environment in which children can love and feel loved, trust and be trusted and develop a strong sense of self-worth because they feel important.  The staff focuses on forming a relationship with each individual child.  The program grows out of teachers knowing the children and accepting them in their current developmental stage.  The Preschool creates a play-oriented learning environment and child centered curriculum designed to foster each child's social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth and maintains a 6 or 7:1 student/teacher ratio.

Age Guidelines and Class Hours:

Note:  Child must reach the eligible age for a class by September 1, except for January start class.

2 Morning Class

2 ½ years olds                    (T, Th 9:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. )

2 Morning Class

2 ½ years olds                    (T, Th 9:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. )

3 Morning Class

3 year olds                          (M, W, F 9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. )

3 Afternoon Class

3 - 4 year olds                     (M, W, F 12:30 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. )

5 Morning Class

4 year olds                          (M-F 9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. )

5 Afternoon Class

3 ½ - 5 year olds                (M-F 12:30 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. )

Morning Enrichment              (3 or 5 Afternoon Class)
