First Church Council

Our church is governed by a lay leadership board or Council as we know it.  The Executive Committee are the officers of the church: The Moderator, Vice Moderator, Clerk and Treasurer. 

We also have 4 Standing Committees as follows:

Mission and Outreach

Worship and Education

Membership and Fellowship

Stewardship and Administration

You can visit sections on the left of the page to learn more about these various areas within our church and see the Strategic Plans for each Committee.

Members will be nominated for election to the church council by a nominating committee consisting of the called ordained staff, the member who most recently held the office of Moderator, and three (3) other members of the congregation not currently serving in an elected position appointed by the council.  The congregation will have the final approval of all members.
