Camp Mo-Val has played a vital role in the life of First Congregational Church with members participating as campers, counselors and second generation campers. Camp Mo-Val’s outdoor ministry programs and facilities offer wonderful opportunities to experience God’s natural world, take time for personal reflection, join together as part of a community and grow in one’s faith… as well as laugh, play and have fun. Annually, FCC youth and adults travel to participate in service and mission projects beyond the St. Louis area. Past trips have been to Pine Ridge Reservation SD, Nogales Mexico and a homeless shelter in Maryland. In 2009, our youth went to Jamaica and 2010 we had our first Intergenerational group that traveled to Biloxi, Mississippi for Katrina rebuilding. In 2011, we did our 2nd Intergenerational trip to Tennessee and this year we will be going to Birmingham, Alabama for rebuilding after the storms of 2009 there.
